Ellery Klein’s debut CD Salt & Pepper
Ellery’s debut solo album, Salt & Pepper (a reference to a joke about her Midwestern roots) was recorded in Limerick and Ennis from March to July 2001, while she was living in Ireland. Twelve guest musicians from Ireland, Scotland, England and America, including Thrí Núa members Olive Brennan and James Ross; special guests Eoin O’Neill, Mícheál Ó Súilleabháin and upcoming flutist Nicole Rabata accompany the fiddler as she performs a wide range of old and new tunes and styles. The simple, live sound of the production means an honest and energetic recording that gives center stage to the tunes and lets Ellery’s personality shine through.
